NextSpot Recruiting helps college soccer players get in front of college coaches. This page says what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
What we collect
Your name, email, phone, date of birth, school, grades, playing details, the words you give us to write in your voice, film and photos you upload, and a parent or guardian's name and email for players under 18. We also keep the emails sent to and received from coaches for you, notes you log, what you do in the app, and records of what you've paid us. We don't collect card numbers. If you book a free evaluation, we keep what you enter on that form and a scrambled form of your internet address to limit abuse.
When someone plays a video on your film page, we record how long they watched, which coach it was if they came from one of your emails, and a scrambled internet address to limit abuse. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
How we use it
To match you with college programs, write emails to coaches in your words, send them, show you and your family what is happening, and run the service. You approve your list of schools. After that, first emails and follow-ups go to those coaches automatically once they pass a quality check, and you can read every one. Replies to coaches and emails about offers wait for your OK.
Our team can see your profile and your emails with coaches so we can help you. If a club or school signed you up, its staff can see them too, and can keep notes about you that you don't see.
Your film page can be opened by anyone with the link, and shows your videos and profile details, including your GPA and stats. Coaches get the link in your emails. Videos from YouTube load from Google, so Google sees that visitor.
We don't sell your information, and we don't use it for advertising.
Your Google account
If you connect a Gmail account, we ask Google for one permission that touches your mail: to send email as you (the gmail.send scope), plus your email address so we know which account you connected. We use it only to send emails to coaches at the schools on the list you approved, and the replies you approve.
We can't read your inbox. Replies from coaches reach us only if you set up a Gmail filter that forwards them to us, and you can turn that filter off at any time.
We store the access Google gives us in encrypted form. You can disconnect from your Profile, or from your Google account settings, at any time. We don't share your Google data with anyone except to provide the service, we don't sell it, and we don't use it for advertising or to train AI models. Our team can see which Gmail address you connected.
NextSpot Recruiting's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Companies that help us run this
We use service providers to host the app and database (Vercel, Railway, Supabase), store files and receive forwarded emails (Cloudflare), send account emails (Resend), take card payments (Stripe, which holds your card details, so we never see them), and run AI that drafts emails, reads coach replies and notes, and helps match you with schools (Anthropic). They process your information only to provide their service to us.
Players under 18
Nobody under 13 can use NextSpot Recruiting. Players from 13 to 17 need a parent or guardian to give permission before we do anything for them. Being featured on our social media is optional and separate, and a parent or guardian decides for players under 18.
Keeping and deleting
Your film page comes down as soon as permission is withdrawn, or when your account is closed. Files you uploaded and your photos are then deleted from our storage, and also about 90 days after a player is closed or commits. Videos on YouTube stay on your YouTube. Ask us at any time to see, correct or delete your information and we will.
